The Benefits of Same-Day Crowns

Saves Time

Traditional dental crowns take two visits to complete. Our CEREC® technology allows us to craft stunning crowns in just one appointment, saving you time in the dental chair and eliminating the need for a second visit.

Fully Customizable

Same-day crowns are fully customizable thanks to our in-house technology. We use the finest porcelain to ensure natural-looking results that seamlessly blend with your smile.

No Messy Impressions

We can take digital impressions of your tooth in seconds with CEREC technology. There's no need for putty impressions which can be messy, uncomfortable, and leave a bad taste in your mouth.

No Temporary Crown

Traditional dental crowns require a temporary crown between visits, which costs extra and can be uncomfortable. CEREC crowns give you results in just one visit.

How Crowns Are Placed

After the tooth is treated and reshaped, the crown is designed to achieve a precise fit that covers the tooth to the gumline.

Do You Have Any of These Issues? You May Need a Dental Crown

Tooth Decay

In some cases, a cavity is too severe for a filling. Our dentist uses a crown to protect the tooth and prevent more substantial oral health problems from developing.

Missing Tooth

Dental crowns are commonly used with dental implants to replace a missing tooth. Dental implants provide outstanding support and provide the stimulation necessary to stop the jawbone recession that otherwise follows the loss of a tooth.

Root Canal

Root canal treatment saves your tooth, but leaves it vulnerable to damage. A dental crown provides tremendous strength and restores the tooth's functionality.

Cosmetic Imperfections

While typically used for restorative purposes, a dental crown can also address cosmetic issues such as a discolored tooth or a tooth that is too big or small.

The Same-Day Crown Process

Preparation

Our dentist conducts a consultation at our El Paso office to determine if a crown is right for you. Any preparatory procedures such as a root canal must be completed before getting a crown. To begin the crown treatment process, the top and sides of your tooth are reshaped to ensure a proper fit.

Design and Fabrication

We use the CEREC technology to take impressions of your tooth and then create it using automated tools. We customize the design to mimic your natural tooth and mill the crown out of porcelain. Patients can wait in our office until their crown is finished and ready for placement.

Placement

Once the crown is ready, our dentist places it on the tooth to ensure a proper fit. He can easily make any adjustments at this time before permanently bonding the crown to the tooth. The entire process is completed in just one appointment at our El Paso office.
